I spent this past winter camping at provincial parks, the Pinery being one of them. MacPherson’s became my “home away from home”, not that they knew it. The friendly staff treated me like family each time I came in. They are kind, and real! They’re not trying to pad their tips with the service they provide, it just seems so natural for them, and very much like they enjoyed my visit with them. They back each other up covering tables just so the patrons never have to wait. The food was delicious and the chef in the back put their own flair on traditional foods that stepped up each item tenfold in flavour, and portions are always generous. The tap beer selection may be limited, but they’ve had Damn Dark (dark ale) and local Point Franks brewed beer which have become favorites for me. Whomever selects the beers to be on tap has an outstanding sense of what a good beer is. And of course the home baked pies - . So many kinds, so delicious, all baked in house, that you absolutely have to try. Do you have a favorite pie? MacPherson’s will probably have made it fresh today and it’s waiting for you. If you are traveling along the Lake Huron coast, make sure this is a stop. You will not be disappointed. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that MacPherson’s is also a General Store, Gas Station, and Gift Shop, if you just need to pop in on your way thru, but they’re family so visit a while and leave fuller in the belly and lighter in your heart.

This place truly has it all—amazing comfort food, a charming gift shop, and a variety store for all your essentials. It’s the ultimate one-stop shop! The service is absolutely top-notch—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Their butter tarts are legendary—perfectly sweet, gooey, and worth every calorie. The food is hearty, affordable, and tastes like it’s made with love. Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or planning a road trip detour, McPherson’s is a must-visit. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s an experience!

Been dinning here for many years while staying at the sand piper cottages many a childhood summer vacation. Just walking in the door feels so nostalgic. I've never had a less than stellar meal here. My favorite it breakfast. I recommend the sunrise special or the big breakfast. Grabbed some of the homemade cookies at the counter, and they were amazing!! Staff is always fast and friendly. When I'm here, I feel like I'm at home.

Great Mother’s Day breakfast! I am so happy we went to McPherson’s for breakfast. The staff is lovely, our server Margret was so experienced and diligent. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. They greeted us with complimentary mimosas for moms!! As a new GB local I will be going back for sure!

Randomly popped in on a Wednesday to find a turkey dinner special. Wow! Tasty, tasty. Perfect portion, great value. Service instantly makes you feel you're among friends. Atmosphere is rural Ontario cozy - I love that but I'm not sure everyone will.

Purchased a large turkey pot pie for dinner yesterday. (Fresh frozen section) Had a craving and so happy I did! It's was so delicious. Filled with a optimum amount of turkey, carrots, peas and potatoes. Also perfectly seasoned. Definitely satisfied my craving! Will be coming back for more:)

We were in the area and were looking for a home cooked kind of feeling. We found it at MacPherson’s! The parking lot is very big, ample parking. You can also gas up while here. It was not busy when we first got there around 3:30pm or so but not too long after, car after drove in for dinner. The front of the restaurant is smaller as it shares the space with a general store. But there is a large seating area for the restaurant behind the main space. Our waitress was super friendly and fun to speak with. We had the Chicken Ciabatta sandwich which was made with a real chicken breast! It was delicious! We also had the Cuban Sandwich which was pretty tasty as well. The fries were scrumptious as was the soup. It was fun looking through their general store and gift shop. We recommend you stop for sure!

Amazing food. Margaret went above and beyond to accommodate a party of 3 with a motorized wheelchair inside the very busy restaurant area. She was welcoming, kind and exuded a positive vibe for this party and other diners. It's too bad other restaurants can't show such care and professionalism. Every single diner at this eatablishment matters obviously.
